The book of Proverbs! Challenge yourself to read a chapter a day for a year or more. You won’t be sorry! Proverbs was written mostly by the wisest man to ever live, King Solomon. He teaches you how to live and conduct yourself on a daily basis, to keep you out of harms way and how to prosper in everything you do! Hundreds of subjects are taught about, with the wisdom that could only have been inspired by God himself!

It’s been quite a while since I last posted anything on this site, but rest assured, I have not been idle. In collaboration with my other company, Potentials Unleashed, an IT company, we have come up with a mobile app that currently works on the Android platform. The app has been released on the Amazon App Store and is available to download now!

It is free, but it is ad supported, to help with the cost of development.

It does work on the Kindle devices as well, but for some reason Amazon thinks it doesn’t, so it doesn’t show as available there, but you can download it onto your Kindle from the Potentials Unleashed website, located here: Proverbs Challenge

There are two download links on the site and the one you want for the Kindle is the link next to the word APP and not Amazon. This will be fixed soon, but in the meantime, it is safe to download the app from the website instead. All other Android devices, should be fine through the Amazon App Store.

You can download it from the Amazon App Store.

Here is a list of the current features:

  • Automatically loads the chapter matching today’s date.
  • Reads the scripture to you, if you want it to, so you can follow along.
  • Set the audio to cycle, so the chapter is read over and over again. Great for memorizing!
  • Choose a different chapter, if you want to read more.
  • Pause and Resume features, if you need to take a break.
  • Ad supported – Ad-free version coming soon!
  • More to come!

If you have any suggestions for additional features or find something not working quite right, please contact us at The Bold Christian.

World Wide Mission Opportunity For You

The World

The World

This website has been seen in over 100 countries, since it’s inception in July of 2009, according to Google’s Analytics. I don’t say that to brag, I say that so anyone willing to write articles for The BOLD Christian can see that their message will be seen by many people all over the world.

Have you ever wanted to be a missionary, but weren’t able to for one reason or another?
Have you ever thought of building your own website so that your articles could reach those who need to hear the Gospel?

It is for these reasons that  I created this website. As mentioned in Our Ongoing Trial entry, I have a very disabled child, which prevents me from going into the mission field and away from my family for any length of time, but I do have a passion to reach the lost and to help them find their way back home. Especially those who think they are going to Heaven and don’t know they’re lost and will not be going there.

I approached a friend of mine, at church, and asked him if he would be willing to write an article for the site and he agreed to consider it. He also gave me permission to link to any entry on his blog that I would like to share.

I am hoping that this is the start of a World Wide Mission to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Please check out the following articles, written by my friend in Christ, Peter Dearing:

God Answers My Prayer, the Same Afternoon

A Personal Lesson

Like many of us, Peter has suffered through many ordeals, but his steadfast love of Jesus has lead him to dive deeper into the Word Of God (Bible), to see what it is he needs to learn. On his blog, he shares his lessons with us. I have been blessed to read them and you will too.

If anyone out there would like to write an article that may be seen around the world, please feel free to contact me.

God Bless!!

The Jesus Football League – Products

The Jesus Football League

The Jesus Football League

Obviously, we have a passion for Jesus. This site wouldn’t exist if we didn’t. We also have, to a lesser degree, a passion for the NFL, with my favorite team being the New England Patriots. Since the NFL and the Patriot logos are trademarked and copyrighted, we cannot use them on any products that are available on this site. So with that in mind, we created a logo that combines both of my passions and called it The Jesus Football League. There are no real teams and there is no real football being played, but this is a way to promote both of my passions at the same time.

Check out these and other items on our Product Pages!

The purpose of this post is really just to point out the product pages that show off all the products that we have designed so far and to let you know that we can create many, many more custom products. There are literally hundreds of possible products to choose from.

If you have a favorite Christian Symbol or a Saying or a Bible Verse that you would like to see on a shirt, mug, mouse pad or what have you, then please feel free to contact us and we will gladly create the item for you. If your product requires an image, then feel free to send the image directly to me at

For now, please take a look at our product pages to see what is possible.

Sales of any products on this site go towards the upkeep and hosting fees associated with running a web-based business. All transactions are handled on the manufacture’s secure website, so you can be sure that your credit card information will be safe.

A Gift From God, To God

A Gift From God, To God - Special Needs Children

A Gift From God, To God – Special Needs Children

This topic hits home for me. I have four children, two of which have severe special needs. My oldest child was born in 1991 and he had a stroke when he was a few days old that has caused him to be extremely delayed mentally. He looks normal, he can walk and he speaks articulately and within a short time you would be aware that he has challenges. Some of them are obvious and others only reveal themselves after getting to know him.

He has been diagnosed with Epilepsy, Pervasive Developmental Disorder – Not Otherwise Specified (PDD NOS), Anti Thrombin III deficiency(AT3), which is a blood clotting disorder that probably caused the initial stroke, and he has been tested many, many times with the determination that he is mentally retarded. He reads at a Kindergarten level with mostly inconsistent results.

In spite of his issues, he is a very generous and caring young man. Anytime someone is at our house visiting, he offers food or drink,whether we have it or not to give. He is constantly trying to help with his siblings and us parents to the point where we almost have to tell him to stop. Since he struggles to read, he has learned to build just about anything with Tinker Toys, or similar toys, simply by examining the pictures that came in the instructions.

My youngest child was born in 2008 and he also suffered a stroke a day or two after birth, again caused by the AT3 deficiency that he also inherited. A few days later, he suffered another stroke on the other side of his brain. He was born 2 months premature, because my Wife had severe preeclampsia and had to deliver right away or she would not have made it through the rest of the pregnancy. He has spent many days in and out of the hospital and we expect that this will continue for the rest of his life. He has been diagnosed with, among other things, Spastic Quadriplegia Cerebral Palsy. He is not able to walk or talk and can’t even sit up on his own. He has a feeding tube, because he cannot eat by mouth and he is on oxygen, through a ventilator attached to his tracheostomy, to assist with his blood saturation levels. He has many other issues as well, that we are dealing with, and so the above information is enough to get to my point. You can read a more detailed story about him on the Our Ongoing Trial page.

When I was 13, my Mother worked for an institution where people put their children that were suffering from various forms of special needs. We would often visit her there and got acquainted with many of the”patients” that were living there. It touched me so much, that I prayed to God to give me a special needs child, when I was old enough to be married. I completely forgot about that prayer until my first child was born. There is much more to what happened next, so for now we can just say that, God did not forget and he answers prayer.

Shortly before my Wife began getting sick, while pregnant with our youngest child, my oldest child approached her and told her that he had prayed that God would give him a brother “Just Like Him”. What do you say to that? My Wife responded that God knows best and that we will see what happens. As you may have guessed, God answered his prayer too.

You see, God did not create the universe, as we know it, and then abandon his creation. He is very much involved in our lives and answering prayers. Neither I nor my son knew just how difficult having a special needs child can be, but God knows and he provided the exact person that we needed to have in our lives. He provided me with the perfect Wife and my sons with the perfect Mother. I am not saying that my Wife is perfect, but she is perfect for me and my children.

After all of the above, I now get to my point:

Neither of my special needs children will ever be able to make a choice to either follow their own sinful nature or to follow God, through the sacrifice of his own son Jesus. Therefore, since they cannot make that choice, they are automatically going to Heaven when their time here is finished.

Knowing this, how can I or anyone else possibly turn against God, when we have a child that suffers from anything?

These children are simply a Gift from God, to God. We are just the blessed family that got to take care of them while they were here.

God bless and thanks for reading.

The Spirit of Truth

The Spirit Of Truth

The Spirit Of Truth

What is our purpose?

The chief end of man is to Glorify God and to enjoy him for ever.

1 Colossians 10:31 Then whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all things to the glory of God.

Why did God place Love above all else?

If you are busy loving on people then you have no time to fight with them. Jesus said that the greatest commandment is the first, followed by the second.

Matthew 22:36-40 Teacher, which is the great commandment in the Law? And Jesus said to him, You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.”

Deuteronomy 6:5 This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like it: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.

Leviticus 19:18 On these two commandments all the Law and the Prophets hang.

So what happens when you follow the first commandment?

John 14:15-21 If you love Me, keep My commandments. And I will petition the Father, and He will give you another Comforter, that He may remain with you to the age, the Spirit of Truth, whom the world cannot receive because it does not see Him nor know Him. But you know Him, for He abides with you and shall be in you. I will not leave you orphans; I am coming to you. Yet a little while and the world no longer sees Me, but you see Me. Because I live, you also shall live. In that day you shall know that I am in My Father, and you are in Me, and I am in you. He that has My commandments and keeps them, it is that one who loves Me; and the one that loves Me shall be loved by My Father, and I shall love him and will reveal Myself to him.

By loving Jesus, who is God, as the first commandment tells us, he will give to us a Comforter, the Spirit of Truth. This Spirit of the Holy living God will dwell within us.

What is the job of the Holy Spirit of Truth?

John 16:7-15 But I tell you the truth, it is advantageous for you that I should go; for if I do not go away, the Comforter will not come to you. But if I go, I will send Him to you. And having come, that One will convict the world concerning sin, and concerning righteousness, and concerning judgment.Concerning sin, because they do not believe into Me; and concerning righteousness, because I am going to the Father, and you no longer see Me;and concerning judgment, because the ruler of this world has been judged. I have yet many things to tell you, but you are not able to bear now. But when that One comes, the Spirit of Truth, He will guide you into all Truth, for He will not speak from Himself, but whatever He hears, He will speak; and He will announce the coming things to you. That One will glorify Me, for He will receive from Mine and will announce to you. All things which the Father has are Mine. For this reason I said that He receives from Mine, and will announce to you.

So, if the chief end of man is to glorify God and the first and second commandments are the best way to do this, then why don’t most people embrace the gift that was given to us, by God, because of this very thing?

Only by equipping The Holy Spirit of Truth, with the Holy Word of God, can he do what he was sent to do. It is not up to God’s people to judge and condemn others, with their own understanding. It is up to, an equipped, Holy Spirit to change us from within. An un-equipped Holy Spirit lies dormant in those that do not learn God’s word. Even worse than this, when you try to show these people the Truth in Love, they can get very defensive and deny that there is a problem. I am strictly speaking of people that claim to be Christians and do attend church regularly. I believe this is part of Satan’s plan and will get worse as time goes by, as predicted in Revelation, and called the apostasy of the church. It is prevalent in many churches today.

2 Timothy 3:16-17 All Scripture is God-breathed, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be perfected, thoroughly furnished to every good work.

If the above scripture passage is true, and I believe it is, then we as Christians have a responsibility to those young in the faith. We must bring the scriptures to them in a loving way and never force it upon them, as this can have disastrous results. By living and giving and showing our fellow believers the Truth In Love, through the word of Jesus Christ, we can help equip them to protect their faith, so that they can bring Glory to God.

Just For You – A Poem

Just For You - A Poem

Just For You – A Poem

Here is a poem that I wrote for a good friend, during a time when he was hurting. I felt that anyone who is hurting and beating themselves up about it might benefit as well. This was written back in December of 2006.

You’re troubled about your sins;
don’t worry, you are doing fine.
You’ve got Jesus in your heart;
which makes your walk divine.
Don’t beat yourself up;
for all the things that you do wrong.
When he comes back from Heaven;
all of the evil will be gone.
Don’t tear yourself down;
thinking that you don’t belong.
When Jesus stands beside you;
all you can be is strong.
When Satan tempts your heart;
don’t fight him all alone.
With Jesus on your side;
your backup is the throne.
He battles with you now;
so put on your fighting glove.
If you don’t understand evil;
then how can you grasp his love?
Jesus really loves you;
your own understanding will never do.
Here is just a glimpse of it;
he died just for you.
Your sins are all forgiven;
for just accepting him in your heart.
You now have eternal life;
but you still have to do your part.
You’re struggling through these things right now;
but its all part of his plan.
And when you’ve gotten through it;
you’ll be a better man.

True Christianity

True Christianity

True Christianity Only Leads One Way

There is so much confusion in the world with all the religions and sects and cults that exist. How do you even know what is even true anymore?

I believe, with all my being, that the Christian faith is the true and only faith that matters. I have studied many other religions and the more I read the Christian Bible, the more convinced I am that this is the real truth, the real deal.

I grew up Catholic. Over the past 25 years or so, I have questioned my faith to the point that I had a burning desire to know the Real Truth. I have read the entire Hindu Bhagavad Gita, the Satanic Bible from Anton LaVey, the Scientology book called Dianetics from L. Ron Hubbard, I have studied Buddhism, Islam, Zoroastrianism and a few others. I had also considered myself an Atheist due to the absolute LIE of evolution.

I did all of this before I ever even read the Christian Bible. Seems strange, but that is a HUGE problem in the Christian faith. Very few people actually read what they confess to believe. I have since read it multiple times and it has really opened my eyes in a very profound way!

 Mahatma Gandhi once wrote: “I like your Christ, I do not like your Christians. Your Christians are so unlike your Christ.”

He was right then and is still right now. I can absolutely understand why people have such a hard time with Christianity. The problem is that the VAST majority of people who claim to be Christians have never even read the Bible. They go to church on Sundays and live like Hell the rest of the week. Unfortunately, that is what most people see. That is not TRUE Christianity.

Someone once said to me, after being involve in Kabbalah for several years, that they got more out of that than they ever got from Christianity. Well, I bet that is true for him. In fact, I have seen much growth and maturity from this individual, so I don’t doubt that Kabbalah has had an impact in his life. He grew up a Catholic, the same as I did and didn’t get anything out of it. Whose to blame? His parents? The Church? Himself? God? I can’t really answer that question for him, since I have not had his experiences. I can tell you that he cannot blame God. No one can. They often do and in the past I have too, but that is because they misunderstand their circumstances.

We live in a fallen world, as I have explained in the Why does God allow suffering? How can a loving God allow Cancer? article. So why do we live in a fallen world and who is to blame for it? Well, we live in a fallen world because WE chose to disobey God. So we do have ourselves to blame in part, but there is another that deserves blame. That person is Lucifer, Satan, the devil, the evil one, the Prince of Darkness, the great dragon, the serpent, etc.

If Satan never tempted Adam and Eve, then we would not have sin in the world today. Satan is to blame for all of this and he will get what is coming to him, in the end times. (of which I believe we are either in or very close to)

Satan is also the reason there are even religions at all today. He is the master of confusion. He is the Father of lies. He has done everything in his power to try and stop God from bringing his people to himself. Satan has used religion to cause separation and strife in the lives of so many throughout the ages. He has caused religious wars and persecution of believers. He has caused you and me to doubt our beliefs on an ongoing basis. He has put us through Hell on Earth to try and make us blame God for it all.

He has failed! He will not win! He has been cast out of Heaven! He will be thrown into the Abyss and then after another tour following the millennium, he will be thrown into Hell for the rest of eternity, along with all of his fallen angels and the people he was able to keep from God. He will win many battles, but he will ultimately lose the war. Amen!

Praise God!!

That’s all well and good, but it still doesn’t tell us why Christianity is right and everything else is wrong. You’re right, it doesn’t.

God knew that man himself would not be able to overcome Satan and death. He knew that only he himself could be victorious. He knew that he alone would have to come to Earth, zip up a human suit, and walk among us, to teach us how to be true believers. Only he could save us from Satan and ourselves. So he did.

God became a man and walked among us as Jesus, The Jewish Messiah foretold in the scriptures. He didn’t come to give us a better life. He never promised that. In fact, he told us it would be harder.

Matthew 5:11 “Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me.”

Matthew 10:22
“All men will hate you because of me, but he who stands firm to the end will be saved.”

Matthew 24:9
“Then you will be handed over to be persecuted and put to death, and you will be hated by all nations because of me.”

Mark 13:13
“All men will hate you because of me, but he who stands firm to the end will be saved.”

Luke 21:17
“All men will hate you because of me.”

No, Christianity isn’t easy, it’s hard! Only the true Men and Women of Faith will prevail. Only those planted on the solid rock of Jesus will make it to Heaven.

So, when someone tells you that Christianity will make your life easier, they don’t know what they are talking about. If that is their idea of evangelizing, then they won’t have much retention when life gets tough for their converts.

But it’s not entirely their fault. Nope. That’s how they were taught. It’s easy to say Jesus will make your life better. It is hard to say that believing in Jesus will make your life tougher. Jesus himself said it would be and it certainly has been for me.

Yes, Jesus came to teach us how to live properly and yes he does love you more than life itself, remember he gave up his life for you, but that was not the main purpose of his coming.

He came to save you from a certain an inescapable death, that we brought on ourselves.

So because of God’s sacrifice through Jesus, we don’t just need to believe in him, but we need to put him on and wear him around with us wherever we go. Let me give you an example expressed by Ray Comfort in his book Hells Best Kept Secret:

Scenario A: There is a passenger in an airplane and a Christian Stewardess approaches him with a parachute. She explains that if he wears this parachute that it will improve his flight. So he immediately puts the parachute on. When he sits down, he realizes that the parachute makes it very uncomfortable to sit properly without hunching over, but he believes what the Stewardess says and continues to sit. Getting his seat belt on proves difficult too, but he persists. After a few minutes he notices some other people on the plane pointing and laughing at him. He begins to get a little embarrassed at this point and starts questioning what the Stewardess claimed.  Now the laughter is spreading throughout the plane and people are now making blatant fun of him. At this point, he has had enough. He struggles to unbuckle his seat belt, stands up and rips the parachute off, throwing it to the ground. He sits back down, resolving never to put the parachute back on. He is disgruntled, embarrassed and angry at the Stewardess that promised him a better flight.

Scenario B: Same passenger, same plane, same Stewardess. This time the Christian Stewardess approaches the man and says, you need to put this parachute on, because this plane is having a lot of problems and I was told by the Pilot that it is going to crash over the Ocean. Again, without hesitation the passenger puts the parachute on. He has the same struggles with his seat belt and still needs to hunch over to sit down. The same passengers begin pointing and laughing at him, but this time he ignores them, because he knows something they do not. When his situation spreads out across the entire plane and everyone is pointing and laughing at him. He does become a little embarrassed and even a bit angry, but this just causes him to hold on to the parachute even harder. He wouldn’t give the parachute up for anything in the known world, because he knows that he needs the parachute to save his life.

So, in the same way you would use a parachute to save your life, you need to put on the Lord Jesus, turn from sin and let as many people as you can, know that we are heading for a crash and only he can save your life.

So why is Christianity the only true religion?

Because this is the only religion where God himself came down to save you. ALL other religions require you to try and save yourself, which is not in the least even possible.

There is little doubt, in my mind, that you have heard John 3:16, but it may be unlikely that you have read the verses following it.

John 3:16-21 “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son. This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but men loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil. Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that his deeds will be exposed. But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what he has done has been done through God.”

He also TOLD us, that there is NO other way to get to Heaven:

 John 14:6 Jesus answered, “I am The Way and The Truth and The Life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”

So True Christianity isn’t about spreading ONLY God’s love to one another or trying to improve our life here on Earth. We need to put on the Lord Jesus, repent and turn from our sinful nature, read his word and obey it and share this truth with others.

You will be laughed at, you will be ridiculed, you may even be persecuted or even killed, but that doesn’t matter, because you are saved and will live with Jesus in Heaven for the rest of Eternity!

Isiah 51:7-8 “Hear me, you who know what is right, you people who have my law in your hearts: Do not fear the reproach of men or be terrified by their insults. For the moth will eat them up like a garment; the worm will devour them like wool. But my righteousness will last forever, my salvation through all generations.”

Matthew 10:28 “Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather, be afraid of the One who can destroy both soul and body in hell.”

It is for this reason that we can be BOLD as we proclaim Jesus as Lord and Savior of ALL. Amen!

Extreme Home Makeover: Community Edition

Extreme Makeover: Community Edition

Tonight is the night! For a little background on what I am posting about here, please read our ongoing trial.

Last year, there was a hurricane in our area, that caused us to lose power for three days. For most families that is a bearable amount of time. For us, however, it was a very difficult time. Our son Avery is 100% disabled and is dependent on several medical machines to help him breathe and to administer medication. All of these work on electricity and all of them were without it. We do have a generator and I was able to have that running during the power outage, but Avery ended up getting sick from the fumes any way. That is really my fault though, since I had the generator on the front porch, which is right near where Avery’s room is. I ended up moving the generator to the back porch and ran the extension cords and power strips across the rooms to get them to the back of the house. We are on file with National Electric with a disabled child, so they were aware of our situation and we did get power back on as quickly as they were able to.

Well, that one incident really stirred the heart of a now dear friend of ours to action. In March of this year, we were temporarily moved out of our home so that he and members of our church and community could make some modifications to our electrical system as well as some other upgrades, to make it as easy as possible to endure any future events like the one we suffered through in 2011.

As more and more people found out about this project, they got involved. Many local companies also pitched in and now, almost 5 months later, the project is complete. For the last few weeks, my family and I have been banned from the house, so that they could finish it up and install a few surprises for us as well.

So far we know that there is a new roof, completely new electrical and plumbing, a new half bath was installed downstairs and the one upstairs was completely gutted and rebuilt. All of the hardwood floors were redone and many of the ceilings were repaired, due to water damage.

Tonight is the night that they will be revealing their work to us. Our children have not seen the house for months now, so they will be incredibly surprised. We even have a few surprises for them as well. I can’t wait to see their faces!

We won’t be officially moving back in until August 23, 2012, because that is as early as we can get the manufacturer of Avery’s bed, to come out and move it for us. For insurance reasons, we have to wait for them, or else I would move the bed myself.

So as I get ready to leave work for the day, I just wanted to post this here before we see what God has done for us through his people.

It is awesome being a Christian! Even in our storms, he blesses us.

No Olympic Opening Ceremonies Catastrophe!

I Was Wrong! Praise GOD!

Praise God from whom ALL blessing flow!!

I was wrong and I’m glad. That’s not to say that something like this will never happen though, because I believe it will at some point.The Bible says that there WILL be a one world government and religion and the signs have never been clearer that we are on track for this to happen in the very near future.

The Bible speaks of a restrainer that needs to be removed from the world before Satan can advance his plan. Some say that the restainer is the Holy Spirit, but I disagree. I believe that the Church, GOD’S people, are the restainer. Since there will be new believers after the Rapture, the Holy Spirit must be present. It is the Holy Spirit that brings you to and through the point of believing that you need a Savior. He will be needed more than ever once the Church is removed and all Hell breaks loose.

So I am thankful that I was wrong this time and not ashamed to admit it.

God bless and keep watching.

2012 Olympics – Opening Ceremonies – Catastrophe?

2012 Olympics

The 2012 Olympic Opening Ceremonies is set to start tomorrow, July 27th, 2012.

I just had to post about this today, because I have an eerie feeling that something major is going to happen during the opening ceremonies. Something VERY BAD! If you have read the articles from my previous post, What will life, on Earth, be like after the Rapture of the Church, then you know that in order for the World’s Elite to push us toward the One World Order, something absolutely stunning has to happen in order to render the population reeling and looking for answers.

When a major catastrophe happens, people become frightened and helpless. When that happens, who do they turn to for answers? Hopefully, they would turn to God, and many will, but what about those who don’t know or believe in him? Most likely they will turn to the Leaders of their respective countries to come up with answers to what happened and empower them to do whatever it takes to prevent it from happening again.
